We’re looking for a brilliant and creative Account Director to join our fast-growing sports communications agency. The dream candidate will be a positive and collaborative leader with outstanding communication skills, creativity, high standards and a drive to help their team shape and deliver high quality work.
We’d love to identify an individual who specifically has a passion for several sports, isa high-class comms operator, and who is ambitious to grow with us and hungry to build their dream communications career. This person would be joining MatchFit at an incredibly exciting time of growth, with a number of soon-to-be-announced new business wins, and with the opportunity to play a highly prominent role in our agency development in coming years.

ROLE OVERVIEW:
The Account Director will play a hugely important role within MatchFit, joining the extended Management Team and leading several of our world-class clients, reporting into our Head of Clients and, at times, Co-Founders. You will also be responsible for line-managing an Account Manager and Account Executives as you further develop your future leadership and agency management credentials.
A key aspect of this specific role will be a focus on our entertainment brand clients such as LiveScore Group, which comprises the portfolio brands LiveScore, LiveScore Bet and Virgin Bet, as well as other new clients within our growing client roster following some game-changing new business wins. You will have excellent brand experience, and be comfortable working with elite talent and ambassadors across consumer campaigns, as well as an ability to navigate clients through the unique challenges of B2B campaigns. You will be empowered to play a prominent role in new business pitches, something which the whole agency contributes to.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

- Relish playing a prominent role in the creative process to conceive high quality work
- Comfort applying strategic thinking and building high class documents and plans
- Brilliant pitching and presentation skills
- A reputation for being a fantastic role model, leader and coach for their team
- A natural love and enthusiasm for PR, and experience leading their team to brilliantly execute earned media campaigns
- Be able to commute to our office in Shoreditch, London
Beneficial attributes for a candidate:
- Client experience within the sports media business sector, including broadcast, sports betting and entertainment.
- Direct experience of working on sport related clients or campaigns more broadly. (Note: We do not expect candidates to come from an agency that specialises in sport, indeed relevant consumer PR experience is every bit as valuable)

SALARY:
- Starting from £57k DOE.
