MatchFit recently helped The LTA spotlight their Park Tennis Project - a campaign that has seen 3,200 park courts redeveloped over the last 3 years. The project symbolises the biggest ever transformation of parks tennis facilities across Britain, as part of The LTA's aim to ensure communities across the country can access the sport.
To serve up the amazing project, we launched a 'love letter to park tennis' campaign, encouraging park players from across the country to submit their letters accounting their joy of playing at their local park courts.
The final letter of support was signed by none other than Sir Andy Murray, who recollected his memories of park tennis. This moment was even captured in a great video that now sits across all LTA channels.
This all culminated in celebrations at a local redeveloped court in West Byfleet where Murray enjoyed a rally with some local primary school children. Each and every one of the love letters to park tennis were displayed in a powerful visual across the court for the children and locals to stop and read.
On the day we helped organise various media opportunities with outlets including BBC Sport, The Guardian and Global Radio, allowing Andy to open up on the importance of park courts in creating opportunities for local communities to enjoy the beautiful game of tennis.
We certainly can't wait to get out on court this summer!
